Education Sessions:
Revenue Cycle & Cash Flow Management
Monday, March 20 | 3:15 – 4:00 pm
Revenue optimization and cash management must be at the core of today’s operating priorities. Accurate charge captures, claim submission, remittance processing, insurance follow-up and collections have never been as important as they are today. Understanding cash flow from operations, investing, and financing activities are critical success factors in every community. This session will review case studies to reveal best practices as well as precarious paths of practice secondary to insufficient attention and detail of practice.

Stuck in the Middle: Strategy and Design to Service the Mid-Income Senior Market
Tuesday, March 21 | 10:00 – 10:45 am
As a country and industry, we have done an excellent job meeting the healthcare and housing needs of high-net-worth and upper-middle-class older adults who can afford higher-end and market-rate senior living. However, we are struggling to meet the needs of our middle-income older adults, who arguably have fewer options than their counterparts on either side of the spectrum.
How do we meet the needs of the older adults who have enough income and assets to disqualify them for traditional affordable housing but not enough to afford an entrance-fee or private-pay senior living community? We’ll answer that question in an insight-filled session covering industry demographics trends and development strategies to make construction affordable and marketable to older adults on a fixed income.
